This week Nell and I were able to actually work in the same city for three days! Having an office in MN and office/production in CO has been working great, but it is so nice when we can sit down face to face and talk shop.
We spent the last few days taking product photos with Nell's friends, who now have their own kids. We even hit up St.Therese School (our alma mater) and did a photo shoot with 2nd generation families. It is amazing to be able to walk into the school where we attended K-8th grade and still see so many familiar teachers and staff. I think they also liked having former students back supporting the school- win/win!
We headed into Excelsior to Fleurish on Water Street, so Nell could meet the owner and see our product in store, which is always so fun to see. Then we were off to the Cottagewood General Store (see link for boutique hours), in the neighborhood we grew up in, to drop off product for the holiday boutique this weekend. I used to work in the store as a kid and it is the heart of our amazing neighborhood, with its penny candy, ice cream and amazing gift items.
Nell's off to Colorado tonight, but just being together and spending time in our local community has inspired so many new ideas for Hi Little One in the new year. Stay tuned!
